01

Leadership record

Office record: Tinubu served as Lagos State governor from 1999 to 2007 and assumed Nigeria's presidency on 29 May 2023, according to the State House biography. Holding office is not a performance rating.

SOURCE RECEIPTS

02

Electricity

Historical 2023 pledge: Tinubu's inaugural address proposed nearly doubling power generation, improving transmission and distribution, and encouraging states to develop local electricity sources. The speech does not itself demonstrate that these outcomes were achieved.

SOURCE RECEIPTS

03

Jobs & cost of living

Historical 2023 pledge: in his 29 May inaugural address, Tinubu committed to one million new digital-economy jobs and proposed a Jobs and Prosperity bill supporting labour-intensive infrastructure and light industry. These are commitments in that speech, not verified delivery or a new 2027 manifesto.

SOURCE RECEIPTS

04

Leadership record

Legislative action: the State House reported that Tinubu signed the Student Loan Bill on 12 June 2023. This records the original signing; it does not establish current loan rules, uptake or outcomes.
